CLIENT'S CHALLENGE—

Saa'un and Sadé had been working on developing their product and vision for some time. They knew what they wanted to accomplish with their brand and business and were clear on the impact they wanted to make. For them, the challenge was bringing the brand together visually in a way that aligned and married their vision, so they can continue executing their ideas, launch their product and reach their community.

GOAL & IMPACT—

Their goals were to establish a brand identity that exudes what the brand is all about, capturing the energy they bring through their products and creations. They also wanted to create a presence online and in their communities and establish credibility and trust with their customers while creating momentum to soft launch their products over the next year through local pop-ups and events.

THE STRATEGY—

We focused our efforts into defining and clarifying what WildSeed is and the value it brings to its customers. We started by digging deep into why it needs to exist, where the inspiration comes from and the gap that is filling.

THE BRAND STORY—

Their ideal customer (Nwamaka) wants to experience tasty things while feeling connected to the things she consumes but BIPOC-made products with unique ingredients are hard find or don’t exist. She’s looking for things that remind her of her childhood but she can’t find anything. So she ends up settling for boring and basic cocktails and supporting ordinary brands she doesn’t feel connected to or bring her joy. 

WildSeed shows her that she doesn’t have to settle for an ordinary experience.

When we’re open to exploration and curiosity, our experiences can be so much more meaningful and transcend beyond our expectations, leaving us with unforgettable memories that last forever. Therefore, our ideal client's drinking experience can be so much more exciting and transcend beyond taste. By inviting nostalgia through familiar flavors, she can honor and celebrate her roots while bringing connection, joy and magic in her life. At the same time, she can feel pride in supporting BIPOC creators in her community with a brand she feels connected to.

THE VISUAL IDENTITY—

THE VISUAL IDENTITY—

We packed a lot of intention and meaning behind the brand. It was extremely important for Saa'un and Sadé that the WildSeed story was told, felt and experienced by their customers in a way that felt like a magical, multi-sensory experienced that brought nostalgia, joy and inspiration to their customers.

From the logo to the messaging and all the way to the final product, WildSeed uplifts the drinking experience through a thoughtful and magical adventure that ignites the senses.

The logo embraces the alchemy and magical look and feel we were after by using a modern font and adding small symbols like stars, moons, hands, etc to the rest of the logos.

Every detail, from messaging to imagery, is part of a bigger picture that shapes what WildSeed is. This is not just a brand about a product—it's a brand about the stories that shapes us, our experiences, the memories we make, our ancestral connections, our freedom, our joy, our relationships, our community and the adventures we embark on.

What surprised me the most, was the really intentional process in the beginning—the questions that forced us to dive really deep into ourselves and into how we want ourselves reflected in the business.

What’s come out of the branding is a shared, collective vision that has been distilled and it’s super clear and sharp.

I feel a lot better about moving forward and having this process done. It’s a lot easier to move forward, as the product was there already but we didn’t know what the brand needed to look like.

It’s good to have someone, as outside support to help round things out. So this has been a springboard to make things more feasible and moving things into action.
